I Didn't Win + Live reviews of demos?

Great bit of flim and brave to do it, as they say ''Its the taking part that counts'' rather you than me...
Hi, never understood why people completely break down when someone on a panel gives their opinion on a track. What do they expect? a ten-minute oracular explosion? I mean, feedback is great in all forms but these A&R panels are just another set of ears at the end of the day...oh and how were our fellow Salfordians the Ting Tings?

They were very nice, I like it when artists are nice. :-)
[this is good]
Good to see that some artists are not completely buying into themselves, and that they realise that without people on their side they will very quickly fail...I find them quite a refreshing change from the stereotyped northern-monkey nonsense that pervades a lot of bands from the area...it just panders to the southern stereotype...i'm salfordian, working class but crucially not a moron and will NEVER pretend to be just to fit some niche...perhaps it would be better to play to type but hey...:)

Very cool!

-They say "It's not who wins or loses, but how you play the game". (I don't know. -Winning is kinda nice!)

Your video was really creative, and showed everyone some good sportsmanship!

I'm curious... -Was that you playing "The Entertainer" on piano there?

Also, look, these people want their stuff listened to and critiqued, you would think they'd just be grateful that someone gave them the opportunity to be heard. I'd say do it.

-Especially if it's a paying gig! ;-)

Ooh it's not a paying gig! I might get some tea out of them.

Thanks for the comments on the video. I made it for my folks but thought I should stick it on here.

It was Maple Leaf rag (there's a story behind it). I tried remembering how to play it and kept fluffing it so got someone else's version to dub to the vid.

Hope all is well with you.

J

Well, free tea is cool too.

Maple Leaf Rag? -Wow, my bad!

I'm glad you shared the video! -It's very cool how you did that! My nephew just finished an internship at Channel 7, doing video production, and he just went for a job interview this morning. -I'm hoping to get him to shoot for me in the near future.

All is well with me, and I trust all is well with you as well.

Take care, and I'll TTYL!

-J

Do you want me to give him a good hiding for ya bruv?
It's ok, I paid one of the heavyweights to do him over afterwards.
