If you ever wondered what we actually look like....
Have a look at our Youtube channel. (Again if you were here for one of my first posts that mentioned this)
It will give you the opportunity to have a good laugh as I'm not my of a TV personailty. Ged (the Chairman) is up there, along with Mike (Head of Columbia) and Craig (Head of RCA).
I don't think any of us are thinking of quitting our day job but it gave us an opportunity to show you at least what we look like. I think I will try and stick a few more videos up there of what actually goes on in here so it makes a bit more sense.
I'd like you to comment on what you think of all this on the channel if you can, be honest, good or bad. The reason I ask is the only people who seem to have commented on there so far aren't involved in our community and don't seem to see it for what this is.
The reason this is starting to take off now is because all of you are supporting this very much from the inside. Which I'm really grateful of. As a result of the growth of the site I've managed to get a few things in the pipeline that are going to be really exciting. I can't give any details away as yet but I will soon.
Hope all is well with you out there.

Thought I'd already answered this one, but it looks like it didn't save. Apologies if I'm repeating myself.
Problem is, there are no specific factors that determine what is 'good' and what is something that we want to work with. They differ from artist to artist. For example, I will be presenting two artists next week. One of whome is a group who are amazing live, huge sound, really tight with upbeat pop/rock tunes. They have made me smile each time I see them live. The other is a songwriter who's voice has real character, songs are emotive and has quite an atmosphere about his music and has none of the qualities of the band, other than I think he is 'good' (well f**kng great actually)
Other than say, write great songs and be tight musically I'm not sure what other advice I could give. I've never known a sucessful artist/band who doesn't rehearse all the time, gig as much as they can and record at every opportunity.
Everyone always talks about getting that 'lucky break'. All the successful acts I meet don't think they got there through luck at all which probably says something.
Sorry to go on, I just worry sometimes that what I say may be misleading or encourage any kind of influence on the content created here. Don't be thinking about what we may want to hear, think about producing your best possible work that you're most proud of. Then if we don't like it then you should be working with a label that does.
Hi IndieBoy
Were a lo-fi US/UK rock band NEW YORK TO TOKYO...jut finishing our EP
Have a listen if you get a chance......Jim Diamond(The White Stripes) is mixing.
2 radio tracks mixed by Beau Hill.....impacting US SPecialty Radio June 8
Watched YouTube video, and surprised of Craig's one because I was a huge fan of him about 20 years ago(He changed!!!!)....Anyway, there's a lot of 'small diamond' artists in my country, too. Different country but nice melody or warm songwriting is all same in the world. And the language is not a trouble in this age. I think it is wonderful if there is a synergy effect of music through the web & community.
