Oh Come On!?! Really?
Going through blogs today and I've come accross three (so far) that have blatantly created other blogs to comment on their own tracks. Seriously, is there a need?
When you get 5 profiles, created the same day, all of which without a picture, and no content, and each comment they leave is something along the lines of "This is amazing!!! I'm sure you'll get signed up in no time" etc etc it's fairly obvious.
If you really want comments on your tracks, ask other people. You'll often find encouragement from other artists if you look!

Whassup dude, struggling to find talent in Internet land? I admire your attempts to get dome rality back into music by holding gigs and trying to sort the wheat from the chaff (old pre-industrial revolutiion phrase there - showing my age - ooch!) - but Intrnet talent spotting. You deserve all the frustration you get mate, I'm afraid. Of course they'll generate support for themselves. Bloody hell - this is computerland. If I can genrate 12,000 fans in six months for my stuff - how the hell did I do that without computers - and never hiring any mechanics to play it live. Please. I never made any fake accounts though - just approached a lot of accounts that were already there. Maybe they were fake - I'll never know. Internet land bears no linkage to the real workd - which is where we all need to make our money.
Loose the love affair with blogs me old fruit. They suck and any old twat can tap a few words into one. Doesn't mean you have enough talent to sell huge hits and sustain US tours without going sick with a sore throat. That's what yuou need my friend.
Rant over. I'm 46 - so I'm well past singing and playing a guitar aren't I? Please find me some decent music I can listen to while I'm peeing in my pants in my nursing home in 20 years time.

We've never done it (not felt the need) but......
It could be that it's because you need to join VOX to leave comments. So "New Band" blog something and tell all their friends n' family n' colleagues to check it out and leave some feedback etc, so good old Aunt Mildred visits the blog, but is forced to sign up to say something positive and supportive and lovely. Her profile remains empty.
Just a theory. It's happened on my "Ryan Anthony" blog (although it was a session musician, not a dear sweet Aunt!)
It has been mentioned before, but can it not be set-up by Six Apart so that (at least on the A&R page) Joe Public can leave a comment without signing up to VOX?

..IF YOUR JOB IS TO OVERSEE THE A&R COMMUNITY 'SEARCHING FOR TALENT' DO YOU PERSONALLY ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT COMMUNITY'S INEPTITUDE, IGNORANCE AND LACK OF MANNERS TOWARDS THE GENERAL USERS OF THIS SITE...??? OR IS YOUR JOB JUST AN EGO EXSTENTION WITH LITTLE OR NO INTEREST IN REAL MUSICAL TALENT??..

Indieboy's "Oh come on really". Well spotted. At least you'v clicked on to some crafty going's on. What about those who will not comment on other demos, they are not playing fair, - we are here to help each other out. I totally agree with Snug's comment. There are blogs on this site from when it began and hav'nt been updated for months. I feel that you are letting this site down. The artists joining now will give up in a month or two. I'v come across some great talent. Go to the RCA site & you are greeted by Pink & Sam Beeton. I'v listened to stuff better than that on this site. I'm baffled to how you miss it. Get loads of buzz is the message from A&R. We do and you visit blogs and put favs on your blog with little and no buzz at all. If I find some good demos worthy in my opinion of a comment I do ask others to visit & post comments. One such blog is

Check it out. - It's a shame - I think they have given up on A&R as it was last updated March 08. Come on Indieboy put some life into this site. We need threads where we can chat openly with A&R.we need some decent & honest feedback. I & no doubt others will be really miffed if you pick your next big signing who is not talented. I don't want to see you sign the likes of White Stripes & Posh Spice. Get some real talent
