Survived the chocolate pot incident

Comments

Funny you mentioned getting a new phone... Our phone contract with Verizon ends this month, and we're due to receive new phones when we re-sign. You never get the cool phones for free with the contract, but if you don't mind spending some extra dollars you can get waaay cooler phones. There are phones that take nicer pictures than the ones we have now, they have phones that are internet-ready (Internet service at home costs enough as it is, thank you very much!!!)

And, of course, there are now some phones that are geared for the texter. These phones open up, exposing a mini keyboard that allows you to type as if you had a typewriter in your hands. I don't know if you have Verizon stores in the UK, but if you do, it wouldn't hurt to go see what they have!

Also, be sure to pay the fee for roaming. Sux that Canada is right across the river from us and we can't call there, even to each other, without roaming. I also recommend you keeping your phones' charger with you even when travelling short distances because the further away from home you are, the faster it seems to drain your battery.

Tryin' to get the figure of Bruce Lee are ya? ;-)

-I don't have six-pack abs... Mine look more like a small keg... ;-)

Outside of rehearsal and recording, the only gig I currently plan to attend (barring any unforseen issues) is the free KANSAS show on the 25th. -Another one of the free concerts they do every year at the canal in North Tonawanda, New York. I missed Eddie Moneys' free show last weekend because I selfishly chose to work on my own songs instead. (shame on me) With any good luck for me, he'll be back next year.

Glad to hear you survived the "Chocolate Pot Incident", and I hope the new cam works wonders for you!

I'm glad you liked the Tony Visconti story... definitely one of the weirder things that's happened to me... and now I'm on his ipod and everything.. :-). And that is just about enough name dropping for one day.. I'll tell you my Debbie Harry story tomorrow.. :-)

No gigs for me this month... lots of moving and recording going on.. but will definitely try and make it down to some of the gigs you recommend..

Susie

Hope all is well,

Well it aint Visconti, but I did sit really close to Gwyneth Paltrow once, went to a restuarant when i was in london called "Jay Sheekies ?" or something like that , and as we were eating our steak , gwyn walked in with some lad , and I can say that in real life she is gorgeous.

I plucked up the courage to go chat to her, but was caught by the Manager and he said i was not to bother her... doh!

But it was pretty cool either way...

:)

All sounds good. I hope to make it to one of those dates. Things always seem to crop up last minute at the mo.

Hope all is good with you.

IB

I put up some demos of songs.

Acoustic and me.

Anyone with an opinion, please opinionise (?)

Once had breafast bought for me by Steve Hillage (producer of Simple Minds and others). The band I was in had helped him move a lot of gear around in a rehearsal studio in Willesden and it was his way of thanking us. Nice bloke.
