Tuesday.....hmmmmm
Not as bad, but still pretty grotty. Still waiting for this Indian summer the paper mentioned.
In a sickeningly smug mood, well I was last night as I actually kept to my healthy routine. Walked to Hammersmith, got home, ran to the shops, bought healthy stuff, did more exercise and Yoga once I got in AND did my homework. So, ooooh, get me. I remembered to change my shopping habits too.
Rather than shopping like I'm a mother of four, getting loads of stuff which takes ages to prepare but is quite wonderful. I shopped like a 20 something singleton who rarely gets home in time to cook. So it was all cold meats, salad, scotch egg(?!?!) n stuff. So I might cut down on the takeaways now. :-)
I was looking through my diary and noticed that I'm experiencing a drought of gigs this week, probably a good thing as I'm running short on cash but if you're playing this week let me know and I'll try to make it down. I fancy a good night out and decent music.
Nearly finish 'The Alchemist', someone has recommended the 'Celestine Prophecies' to me, anyone read that? I always appriciate a review.
I can't stop listening to Ben Kweller at the moment. 'On My Way' is great, not the usual sort of thing I listen to but I saw him play at Dingwalls a while back and it was great. Have a listen if you get chance. I'm back onto Fionn Regan after a break and Audioslave too, the first album. Didn't really like the second.
Anyhoo, I'm waffling now. Jujitsu night tonight so I need to get my stuff ready, another new student tonight.
Hope all is well out there.

Waffling is ok on Tuesdays, especially after how Monday made you feel!
Since conversing with you yesterday, our skies turned grey with occasional little showers, and was grey the rest of the day. Today it's pretty rainy and grey here.
It's been unseasonally cool here this year, much to our surprise. Our "high" yesterday was 71 degrees. (Global warming, eh?) We usually hover between 88-92 degrees here.
I take it that Hammersmith is a city, a town, or a village (or whatever Londoners call it there) I don't know much about it at all. However, I have heard of the Hammersmith Odeon from a concert Rush did there in 1978. It really looks cool from the outside, with the brick street out front... (Who says you can't learn something from a Rock band?)
Homework? -Are you taking classes somewhere, or did you mean housework?
I read more books when I was younger. The last book I actually sat down and read was "Star Wars, Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith" because I just couldn't wait for the movie to know what happened!
It's good that you're sticking to your healthy lifestyle choices. -It's commendable, with all of the good junk that we encounter every day. -Keep up the good work!
My wife is working tonight, so I'll have a chance to get some "Unfinished Business" done. -Tough song to play, but I'll do it... Again.
Have yourself a good Tuesday, and I'll TTYL!
Hammersmith is an area of London, a district I suppose.
My homework was going through the new submissions, which is easy as I don't have to do much typing, I can get on with my excercises whilst listening. :-)
Though I do run to the keyboard if something completely terrible comes on.
IB
District. -That's the word I was reaching for. All I knew was that it was somewhere in London. -The Odeon is a cool looking building there! Lot's of cool looking buildings in London.
Well, it's cool to know you don't just listen to submissions in the office, 'tho I bet you feel like you're working all the time when you're doing it at home too... I can't imagine why I didn't assume that was what you meant by "homework". (dumb musician moment I guess.)
When you "run the keyboard", what do you like to play? What most people play and what they listen to is two different things, so I couldn't help but wonder. Do you run scales, or play certain favorite songs....?
