Hey I can't see your map. I'm using Firefox right at the moment so there could be an issue with the map site.
Anyway, I am in Regina Saskatchewan Canada. This is where I ended up. I started in a small town about an hour and a half drive west from Toronto. I lived in Vancouver Canada for 8 years or so. Now I live on a very flat piece of earth. The sky is the most massive thing I have ever seen here.
Lightning storms here are one of the best shows on earth.
-Don't really need this "silly light show" sort of thing to find out where people are from... Most good people will be glad to tell you when they're asked!
No, that's kewl. I hope you didn't take my comment too personally, I'm probably just a little overly-leery of these "big brother looking in on you" kinds of skyview maps. I should be a little more comforted by this technology, but you know, the evil world we're in nowadays...
Of course, no worries fella. I just find it fascinating how easy it is for a community to exist across the world with no real problems. We're everywhere now.
Plus yes, it is pretty cool and I think I'm a bit of a geek for these things. :-)
I'll survive... It's just irritating to have to scrub my drives and re-install all of my programs just because some online scumbag has to dump viruses on people to get their kicks.
Why can't people just enjoy things without screwing it up for everyone else?
Weird how the paranoid types end up with problems that the rest of us don't...no offense buddy, just found it a strange coincidence.
Kinda like how people in a hurry to finish a report on their computer will suddenly have it crash and lose all the work, when it's never crashed before...

For someone who STARTED with nothing, and now has just above nothing, I'd STILL call that an improvement for me, lightyears beyond all I was before.
EVERYONE expects instant perfection, rather than appreciating one's good effort... I stupidly believed in the discovery of one's potential, when I was expected to deliver a finished product, rather than a demo that some studio may want to help to re-master for us.
Here, in the USA, George Bush had implemented something called "No Child Left Behind"... Well, quite honestly, I was ONE of "those left-behind" kids, most of my life. -Twenty-eight + years later, and I'm STILL being left behind, just not nearly as far as I had been left before.
-Must be learning something here...

If you're willing to help diagnose this, and help to make it something that never bothers another person ever again, then yes... -I'd be happy to discuss this with you, and help in any way I can! My dad was from Stockport, my mum is from Sussex, I was born in Plymouth, I grew up in Hong Kong, and I've lived in London for 10 years. Where the hell am I from? God knows...
well... London seemed to be the best option... I couldn't go plonking myself all over the map.. my pic upload didn't work for some reason, so i'm a mysterious little grey person with a question mark on me...
so here's a totally unrelated question... i'm guessing you must come across quite a few people who work out of project studios/small studio units, and I was wondering if any places/complexes sprung to mind..? I can't work from home anymore.. It's too noisy... I need to find myself a space...
I really only know totally small scale/bedroom studios, or professional all singing all dancing places with AV suites and huge recording spaces, which aren't cheap. Do you work off a mac, laptop, desktop pc, tape?
I work on Mac desktop with Pro Tools.. I've got the rhodes.. and a drumkit.. so a space i can divide into a live room and control room would just be a dream really.. I don't see that there's any point in pouring loads of money into converting my spare bedroom when I've got jackhammers going on outside.. which then brings me to the Kent option. The upside being it's free and there's space I can convert. The downside being I will be sharing with my partner's parents. As I left home over 10 years ago that's a slightly scary option to be honest...
