Got to move offices today, damn.
I have to say I've enjoy my little space and the fact I was able to get a punch bag on the wall next to my disc. I will miss my view of the car park also.
Oh god, Big Bother is starting up again. Am I just stupid or is everyone taking frickin crazy pills! What's the insane fascination with BB?!? Am I the only one who tries to avoid the show and the trashy fallout it generates?
I've got a couple of good gigs coming up, thanks for the details of the dates you've got coming up soon also. I will be attending as many of those as I can. I do float around the country when I can, plus I'm planning a trip to the US soon so will try and see what's going on over there.
Oh yes, I'm on a panel for the City Showcase next week. I'll be discussing this community and the effect of technology on A&R, marketing, PR etc. Not sure what structure this thing's going to take, or if I qualify as an 'expert'. I've cleared the whole day so I can catch the showcases as I notice some of you are playing there next week. I'll try to remember to take my video camera down and meet some of you hopefully.
I'm going to get a kicking off one of the label heads tonight, literally. He's a Jujitsu black belt and runs a class once a week here. It's great fun although can leave me a little stiff as I should be fitter. We're filming tonight as part of a recruitment drive internally which means I'll get thrown around a fair bit. I hope it doesn't create too many takes or I wont be about next week.
Music-wise I've got a nice stack together but I'm changing the way I get bands up here. I don't think I give them enough coverage. So I'm now contacting the bands in advance so I can get other bits and pieces of content together so you can get to know them better.
I'm managing to keep on top of the messages now so feedback, recommendations and hello's always welcome.
